This week the flight school hosted 13 students from Year 12 at Mueller College on their annual hover challenge.
The students are all part of the College's aviation program and have been learning about helicopter operations and career paths.
Aeropower provided classroom support through a school visit from one of our instructors. The next day the students and staff came out to the airfield for safety briefings, ground lesson and a chance to take the control of a helicopter.
While some students were a little nervous prior to the flight there were big smiles afterwards and lots of excited banter as they relived the experience with each other.
Earlier this year Aeropower also hosted a Yr 11 Physics class from Southern Cross Catholic College. Students had the chance to see some of the concepts that they had been learning in class applied to real world operations and helicopter design.
